The history of the Chevrolet Camaro dates back to 1967. The Camaro has had many different faces since those first models rolled off of the assembly line but one thing has remained the same. They were always an affordable American sports car. The 2011 Camaro pictures out now are showing no exception.
The 2011 Camaro comes in five different trim levels: the base model Coupe LS, Coupe 1LT, Coupe 2LT, Coupe 1SS and Coupe 2SS. They range in price from $22,680.00 to $34,295.00. Just like in 1967 the base model Coupe LS comes standard with 6 cylinder engine.
The newer model is a V6 with a very impressive three hundred twelve horsepower engine. You can also find a standard six speed manual transmission. For an automatic you can expect to tack on about a thousand dollars onto the sticker price for a 2011 camaro. The wheels are standard eighteen inches with a steering wheel mounted cruise control and dual exhaust. In addition to these standard items you will also get six months of OnStar service with your package for no extra cost to you. This includes turn by turn navigation.
When you consider the different levels of upgrades let’s talk about the Coupe 1LT. It has the same as the basic with a 3.6 liter and 312 horsepower engine with manual transmission. But it also has front integrated fog lamps, six way power driver seat and more. The Convenience and Connectivity package is available as well as a sunroof and RS package. You can expect to pay around twenty four thousand for the Coupe 1LT.
For around twenty eight thousand you will find the next step up which is the Coupe 2LT. All the standards are there along with leather seats, auto dimming mirrors and a head up display. You will also get a four gauge instrument cluster, Boston acoustics speaker premium sound system, Bluetooth options and USB ports. This model comes with 19 inch wheels.
As capable as the LT models are, if you are looking for more out of your Camaro than V6 power, then step up to the SS line up. Both the 1SS and 2SS come with a standard 6.2 liter 426 horsepower V8 engine. Just like in 1967 the V8 was the choice for driving enthusiasts. The 1SS comes with 20 inch aluminum wheels, four piston Brembo vented disk brakes, rear deck lid spoiler, Limited slip rear differential, SS specific seat embroidery, front and rear SS fascias. The 1SS will run you $30,945.00.
Your options will vary and you can expect to pay around thirty thousand for a new 2011 Camaro for an integral package, power and many options to help you on the road with more power and versatility. These are great and you will get excited about the many options you can find.
For the higher options you will get what is called an RS package. This gives you better driving and more extra features. You will also get larger twenty inch wheels with the highest end package. These models are top dollar for the 2011 models at around thirty five thousand dollars.
The Chevrolet Company has once again done an outstanding job with the 2011 Camaro by keeping with the ideal of the original 1967 model that launched their success. They have incorporated these visual features that are now considered retro of the body styles of the original model. They are considered an affordable sports car and American made.
