Volkswagen today presented another member of his electric ID family.
The latest in the series is namely Volkswagen ID Roomzz concept, one of the premier of this year’s Shanghai Motor Show.
As it was announced, the ID Roomzz concept is a crossover study, on the Volkswagen MEB platform for electric vehicles, highlighting a modern, vibrant and variable interior, as well as the ID Pilot system with autonomous running of Level 4.
In addition, digital cockpit is mentioned, unusual materials (seats are, for example, coated with a material called AppleSkin, a new product consisting of renewable raw material) as well as ID. Pilot Relax mode (when full-automatic driving system is on) allowing passengers to adjust their seats individually according to their needs).
It should be noted that the ID Roomzz concept will also receive the serial version, already confirmed for 2021 (the first starts on the Chinese market).
As far as the details are concerned, this 5-meter long 4×4-spoke car is powered by two electromotors with a total of 225 kW/306 hp, with a single battery charging capacity of 82 kWh up to 450 km (80% capacity can be recharged on a fast 150 kW charger in about half an hour).
Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h lasts 6.6 seconds, while the highest speed is limited 180 km/h.
