On July 12, McLaren presented the 600LT (Long Tail) model at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the Coupe version. Today they presented the Spider version with a three-part hardtop (which can be opened at speeds of up to 42 km/h).
Like the Coupe, the 600LT Spider has, among other things, optimized aerodynamics and enhanced styling, a silhouette extended by 74mm, a larger front spoiler, a larger rear diffuser and a rear spoiler.
The 600LT Spider is powered by a 3.8-liter V8 twin-turbo engine with 600hp and 620 Nm of torque, up to 100 km/h acceleration in 2.9 seconds (the same as the Coupe) and achieves a maximum of 323 km/h (Coupe can up to 328 km/h). It should be noted here that the 600LT Spider is 50 taller than the Coupe (which means that the Spider has weight of 1297 kg).
Part of the package includes Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires, improved steering, new exhaust system, minimalist interior, carbon fiber racing seats…
In the end, with a price of 201,500 pounds, the McLaren 600LT Spider is up 16,000 pounds more expensive than the Coupe version, while its production will be limited to just 12 months.
