The Kalashnikov Group produced 30 EV Pulsar motorcycle (IZH pulsar) and four electric cars “Ovum” ordered by Moscow authorities, the company said. The vehicles will be used by the Moscow police during the World Cup in Russia.
The Pulsar motorcycle (IZH pulsar) can develop speeds of up to 100 kmph, and the range with one charge can exceed 150 km. Electric motorcycles “Kalashnikov” were presented in 2017, after which the concern considered the objections and now handed over to the customers the first series, the company said.
The Ovum electric car with one filling can exceed 150 kilometers, and during testing, its maximum speed will be limited to 30 kilometers per hour. Overall length “Ovum” is 2900 mm, width – 1450 mm height – 1600 mm. Vehicle weight up to 500 pounds. The group explained that this was done for security reasons, since electric cars can also be used on pavements. The number of passenger seats can be changed depending on the needs of city services.
“Pulsar” and “Ovum” were developed in Russia. Asked whether they would be in free sale, Kalashnikov’s representatives replied that motorcycles and cars are currently under testing.
According to the Deputy Director of the Vladimir Dmitriev Group, new vehicles will provide “maximum fast response and monitoring compliance with the order on Moscow roads”.
