Aion is a sub-brand of the Chinese GAC group that manufactures electric vehicles. Their latest model is the compact Electric Aion V SUV, which will go on sale during the summer, at a price of around $ 24,000 (including subsidies on the Chinese market).
The Aion V is made on the GEP platform (GAC Electric Platform), it is 4586 mm long, 1920 mm wide, the wheelbase is 2830 mm, while the ground clearance is 160 mm.
The interior is equipped with a two-spoke steering wheel, digital instrument panel and multimedia system, and part of the equipment is a semi-autonomous driving system.
Initially, only one electric motor version (184hp and 350Nm) will be available, as well as three battery packs (60, 70 or 80 kWh). Depending on the batteries, autonomy is 400 km, 530 km or 600 km, according to NEDC standards.
Later comes a more powerful variant with two electric motors and four-wheel drive.
