Earlier this year Seat announced a new concept vehicle for Cupra brand, for the Frankfurt Motor Show (September 12-22)
This is therefore the Cupra Tavascan concept (which is named by ski center in Catalonia), a fully electric car that combines elements of a crossover and a sports coupe and uses Volkswagen’s MEB platform for electric vehicles.
Inside, the 463cm-long studios attract the attention of the multi functional steering wheel, 12.3-inch digital dashboard, 13.0-inch infotainment system screen, ambient lighting and carbon fiber details.
Cupra Tavascan Concept also states that the interior provides a high level of comfort as well as being distinguished by quality workmanship and the use of quality materials.
The Tavascan concept has two electric motors with a total of 225 kW / 306 hp, and with a single charge of 77 kWh batteries it can travel in range of 450 km.
Also, there is all-wheel drive (the wheels are 22 inches or so).
Even earlier, Seat has announced a plan to launch six new electric and plug-in hybrid models on the market by 2021, including vehicles of different classes.
And Cupra will play a role in the electrification of Seat. It has been known for some time now that plug-in hybrid versions of Cupra Leon (based on the next-generation Leon expected) and Cupra Formentor are coming.
