The British BAC at the Goodwood Speed Festival presented a new model of Mono R, which is said to be lighter and more powerful than its predecessor.
As far as power is concerned, the new 2.5-liter engine (developed in cooperation with Mountune) has 340hp (35hp more than the standard Mono), while the weight is reduced by 25kg (now 555kg).
All this means that the power/weight ratio is 612hp per ton.
Also, the engine has 136hp per liter of volume, which is the new world record for a road legendary car with an atmospheric engine.
The low weight of this one is otherwise obtained by the use of materials such as carbon fibers, magnesium and titanium.
Part of the package includes carbon-brakes, Pirelli Trofeo R tires, as well as adjusting Ohlins shock absorbers.
BAC says it will only make 30 copies of the Mono R model, but it should be noted that everyone is already ahead of it.
