Honda is bringing its Skydeck concept for a debut on Tokyo, and while there is not much to say about it in terms of powertrain or performance, the concept is a total show. The main doors at Skydeck is scissors, rear doors are sliders, and when both are open, we get a good overview of the minimalist appearance beauty interiors.
The interior is of course the big things with the concept. Six people can sit in the car comfortably in three rows and the last row can be collapsed to increase luggage storage. Multi-purpose hybrid vehicle has a panoramic roof, and while the exterior is not so impressive, the simple wood-laden beauty of the interior is an eye catcher.
For now, at least Skydeck is a pure concept with no word of what’s under the hood. But Skydeck could be larger than it initially appears with his flamboyant scissor-type doors. You see, it moves the Insight’s hybrid system battery to sit in the center console that runs along the cabin floor – perhaps an indication of next-generation IMA hybrid system designed to power larger vehicles.
