Edwin Conan, the designer of the futuristic Audi Avatar, is back again and this time with a retro-inspired concept that gets powered by hydrogen. The Bugatti Type 57 Evoluzione Concept is a reborn of the original Bugatti Type 57. Unlike the Bugatti Veyron, which is a mid engine supercar that showcases Bugatti’s engineering ingenuity, this concept, with its unmistakable retro shape, gentle curves long bonnet and middle split line, puts Bugatti back to the glory days of 1935 in performance and style.
The car features a front mid mount W16 engine from the Veyron, instead of using petrol, the engine is modified to run on liquid hydrogen. Although the fuel is different, the performance however will be identical, if not, even higher, since it is proved that an internal combustion engine will be more powerful when running on hydrogen. This is Bugatti’s anwser to environmental issues and global warming.
