Lockheed Martin and Gibbs Technologies have teamed up to build up a family of high speed amphibious vehicles intended specifically for military operations. Gibbs Technologies would be aided by Lockheed Martin to make the Amphibious Combat Craft skilled of going up to 45mph on water, 100 mph on land and move from water-to-land or land-to-water in just 5 seconds.
Three models will be built — ACC-E will be 20 feet long with top speeds of 199mph and 45mph. ACC-R will be 35 feet long with max speeds of 65mph and 40mph. Third will is being called Terraquad with max speeds of 50mph and 55mph.
Would not something like a hovercar or hoverwing be more effective?
